Welcome to 2016! Here at Gospel Oak we’re ready to dive into the New Year, and are really looking forward to getting stuck into sessions with some of the amazing artists we’ve got booked in so far!

2015 was a great year for us! We saw some seriously talented artists come through our doors at Gospel Oak, and some awesome sounds come out of the studio! Gospel Oak producers and engineers have worked with the likes of Aidan Byrne, Ella Squirrell, Jimmy Weston, Ben Drummond, Colin Surman, Duke, Jake Henry, Martin Riley (BLAKE), Richi Jones , The Candy Dolls, The Strangeways, JALTH, Stan Blake, Jim Simpson’s “Lady Sings The Blues” live album from Big Bear Records, The Whiskey Brothers and more!

Over the past 12 months, we’ve also been part of some exciting projects! We’ve worked closely with Grammy award winning producer Mike Exeter to launch the new ska-punk band UK Feds, with their debut EP ‘Living In Anger’ recorded here in the studio – watch this space for more exciting material from the lads coming soon! Back in the Spring, we were official sponsors of the Birmingham International Jazz and Blues Festival, which saw some incredible artists from around the globe perform throughout Birmingham, including the wonderful Ella Squirrell and the Whiskey Brothers! And, most recently, we worked with the Stan Petrov Foundation on their Christmas charity single, ‘Christmas Way.’ We know Christmas has been and gone, but if you haven’t already checked this track out, please do! It features a whole host of singers and celebrities, including vocals from The Neales and Bethan Wyn Davis which were recorded right here at Gospel Oak Studio! All the money raised from the single goes to the three fab charities NSPCC, Bloodwise, and Help For Heroes, so give it a listen! You can purchase the single on iTunes here.

We’ve got plenty more exciting projects and exclusive offers coming up this year, so if you’d like to book your session in the studio for 2016, get in touch with us here. Here’s to another year of making and listening to quality music!!
